A magnificent pair of 19th century Chinese armchairs in Huanghuali wood, incrusted with mother-of-pearl. Unusually wide (90 cm) rarely seen on market. Rear marble medallions in scenery of mountains. Some cracks repaired in one marble seat and some pieces missing in back carvings.
Scholar Desk Yi Dynasty circa 1900, made of pine wood stained dark, in good condition with a few expansion cracks. Supports under legs are not of origin. L 86 cm x W 40 cm x H 38 cm
Floor Yi Dynasty Medicine Chest Circa 1900. Pine construction with copper and brass handles and accessories. Each of the 32 drawers is marked with Chinese characters of the plant or medicine. Acquired in Seoul in 1974.
